I offer Covid-19 safe online private Pilates sessions and group classes via Zoom. This is a great way to keep your body healthy, strong and flexible, all from the safety of your own home. A reliable wifi connection, webcam, yoga mat or carpet, and the space to move freely are all that is required. If you own Pilates equipment of your own, we can also incorporate it into your session. Props such as therabands, rings, balls, and weights are helpful, but not required. All time zones are welcome!

Wondering if a Zoom session can really work? Here’s what a couple of my clients have to say:

“I was originally skeptical about virtual Pilates classes but I’ve been pleasantly surprised and so happy that I have been able to continue both group and private lessons with Sophia. She is able to offer helpful modifications when needed and provide the same level of care and thoughtfulness as when we’re in the studio. I’m grateful that we are able to continue our work together.”

“While initially hesitant about using Zoom for a private session, I found it to be equally as beneficial and helpful as in-person sessions. Even without the equipment and in-person instruction, I have made tremendous progress in advancing my skills and meeting my personal goals during this challenging time of quarantine. I highly recommend them!!”

I also offer in-person private Pilates and bodywork sessions at Montclair Village Pilates. All clients entering the studio must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (two weeks post 2nd shot), and will need to provide proof by supplying their vaccination card at their first appointment to the studio. MVP has worked hard to to create a safe space by providing air filtration, open windows throughout, zones that allow proper distancing between groups, and continued use of masks.

Please read the following guidelines and policies to determine if this is right for you.

  • If you are not feeling well, believe you have been exposed to or have tested positive for Covid-19, please cancel and let me know ASAP. Late cancellations due to illness will not be charged. All other cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged the full price.

  • If a positive test or exposure is confirmed, appointments may resume:

    • 10 days after the first symptoms are identified AND symptoms have improved for those with a positive test to Covid-19.

    • 14 days after the initial exposure AND a negative test for those who have been exposed to Covid-19.

  • Masks are required at all times by all parties. I will have a supply of disposable masks on hand if needed.

  • A minimum distance of 6 feet will be maintained at all times, except when close contact is required for safety reasons, or to perform bodywork.

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided. I ask that clients make use of it upon arrival and as necessary throughout the session.

  • Please bring a large filled water bottle to stay hydrated.

  • Please keep in mind that the nature of the current moment demands flexibility and a willingness to pivot when needed. Increases in Covid-19 numbers may be cause for cancellations or other adjustments. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
